Of late years the number of conversation devoting to ecological problems has grown up a lot. 2010 was declared as the International year of biodiversity. It is meant to help raise awareness of the importance of biodiversity make people think about this problem and take drastic measures…
Biodiversity is the existence of a wide variety of plant and animal species in their natural environments, which is the aim of conservationists concerned about the indiscriminate destruction of rainforests and other habitats. As we’re in the middle of a climate shift biodiversity is decreasing and human activities are also decreasing biodiversity. Why is biodiversity so important for us?
On the one hand, high biodiversity supports a number of natural services, such as providing food, wood products and other biological resources. Biodiversity isn’t how big the population is, but how many kinds. It also provides water and soil protection. The water is the most important energy
The soviet history saw an example when Nikita Hruschev ordered to sow the fields with corn. In several years that led to exhaustion of the soil, and the country even had to import the wheat to supply nation with bread… Plants are very important in pharmaceutical sphere. It’s better to produce the medicines from the herbals than form the difficult chemical substances.
And healthy biodiversity will provide recovery from unpredictable events; the epidemic would not spread unchecked.
Nowadays the rainforests are being stumped. Some companies make money in the lumber mills, other just need an area for commercial aims. It seems like they don’t care to save biodiversity at all. The defenders of wildlife object to such actions, they don’t want evergreen trees and number of birds and insects to disappear from the face of the earth.
But on the other hand, deforestation has some positive qualities…We forget that rainforests are responsible for over three thousand deaths from accidents,
We must take care of environmental protection, because this is OUR world. And our existence depend on the way we are attentive to the universe, to everything what can change our being and destiny. If man thinks of consequences of one’s damaging activities and tries to change something for benefit ecological safety, our future generations will have goof future.
Otherwise one day human’s selfishness will kill this world. It’s your choice!
